Losing our hospital means we are losing an integral part of our Community.

I have had 4 grandchildren born in this incredible hospital. It is a small but mighty place. The care my daughter and grandchildren received from the staff and doctors was beyond belief and I challenge a large hospital to do the give the same standard of care. There was a sense of community with the staff and doctors and they understood that if you treat a family well then they will give back to the community. The volunteers and staff went above the call of duty to make my daughters birth and stay a wonderful experience. The hospital was built in 1948 and looks dated when you arrive however your feeling are quickly changed due to the caring staff and doctors. You immediately feel comfort and a sense of family. This is what a hospital is about caring and a way to relieve all anxiety that a hospital brings to its patients and caregivers. I have never been in a hospital that has given so much back on my visits. I am a caregiver to my 90 year old father who has experienced over 40 surgeries in his life time. My father has been cared for in large hospitals all over the GTA and never had the standard of care and community that my daughter and grandchildren received at West Lincoln. The hospital needs to be saved for all the sense of caring and community it brings to the area. There is not a hospital in the GTA or beyond that is as special.
